Darwin, Darwin, Darwin! This guy was at Pug Nation when one of our directors was down picking up a different Boon baby. She noticed this hopeful soul at an adoption event and despite being one of the most handsome in the room just wasn’t attracting any attention. We found out he was an owner relinquish being underweight, with flea dermatitis and with fear and anxiety. Poor sweet man! Christine brought Cheeto home along with Darwin’s story. One month later Christine and her husband flew down to welcome him to Boon. Darwin bonded with Steve almost immediately and together they are thick as thieves. With meds his skin issues are SO much better and he has no fear or anxiety we can see. He does have one mortal enemy here in Ruben. For some reason he has chosen to dislike our OG and they cannot be together at any time. We do a ton of shuffling and have to know where the two of them are at all times…. But worth every and all efforts!
