Chunk a Monkers! He helped us pioneer a new path at Boon by introducing critters. Chunk was our first guinea pig and it wasn’t long before he was the first of five. He was rescued from a hoarding situation, along with many others. Having heard the news, we watched many others be posted and then adopted as you continued to sit there looking cute and a little like a train wreck! It wasn’t that long until we put in an adoption application and a week later on Sept 15th, we brought you home. We spent lots of time googling his care, favourite foods and homemade enrichment toys. Chunk was fed dinner with everyone one night and everything seemed normal, with no concerns. The next morning when he didn’t come running to the bars to say hi, we knew. Munkers had passed away sometime during the night in his hut. We will always be grateful for everything Chunkers taught us and helped pave the way for more critter rescues.
